ASWEX presence in the public is mainly due to activities of two members so far:
Prof.
Quast
is
an
expert
in
demand
on
landscape
hydrology,
not
only
in
scientific
boards,
but
also
in
regional
media,
at
panel
discussions,
hearings
and
other
opportunities
of
public
interest.
As
a
list
of
his
activities
of
a
later
date
shows,
amongst
others
he
exploits
his
proximity
to
the
cultural
scene
of
the
Oderbruch
in
order
to
make
complex
interrelationships
in
the
regional
water
management
transparent.
As
outlined
in
certain
detail
in
the
activity
reports
2009-10
and
2011-12
,
Dr.
Bäuerle
is
freelancing
for
years
on
the
transfer
of
knowledge
about
the
phenomena
of
moving
waters.
Felicitous
examples
for
the
union
of
scientific
expertise
and
practical
experience
are
also
his
recent
texts
“sound
sight”
and
“sand rosette”:
